In the wake of LeBron James' exit from the playoffs and the beginning of the Summer of LeBron, here are my two cents about the whole thing:

I Keep hearing players say that the most important thing to them is winning. Even if that means going somewhere else to have a better shot.

Sure, but shouldn't the goal of great players be to win where you are? Isn't that what makes great players great? 

Whatever happened to that?

Great players make wherever they are the best team it possibly can be. I see it as a lack of character when players run to the best situation to try to win after they fail to win somewhere. Then it really becomes about the player and not the team and the only thing that "wins" is the individual.

Soon, we'll all be LeBron or Kevin Garnett fans, instead of Cavs or Timberwolves fans.

In other news, LeBron will still be the top overall player selected in Fantasy hoops drafts this fall -- possible lack of character and all.

I've been a little under the weather due to all the crazy weather in South Florida the last couple of weeks. My family in New Jersey doesn't want to hear it, but when it is 70-something one moment and then 40-something the next, it tends to screw with you a little.

Trade: Knicks-Celtics, five-player deal (Feb. 18)
Knicks get: Eddie House, J.R. Giddens, Bill Walker
Celtics get: Nate Robinson, Marcus Landry
Fantasy Boost: Tony Douglas
Fantasy Hit: Nate Robinson
Waiver Wire Pick ups: Toney Douglas
Fantasy Spin: The Knicks and Celtics traded backup shooting guards at the deadline. Robinson's chances of repeating the success he had as New York's sixth man last year and on sporadic occasions this season will be limited in a Boston rotation with so many other go-to-guys. He could still be a serviceable stopgap based on matchups, but his chances of being a regular Fantasy starter are shot. House will get a chance for a slight boost considering how favorable Mike D'Antoni's system is to shooters like House, but he'll battle young guards like Toney Douglas for minutes as the team builds for the future and the Knicks have several three-point threats already. Douglas is going to get more run going forward with both Larry Hughes and Nate Robinson getting traded away and D'Antoni saying that he will give young players a chance to show what they can do down the stretch. He's a nice pick up off the waiver wire.

Trade: Bulls-Bobcats, three-player deal (Feb. 18)
Bulls get: Acie Law, Flip Murray
Bobcats get: Tyrus Thomas
Fantasy Boost: Taj Gibson
Fantasy Hit: Boris Diaw, Flip Murray
Waiver Wire Pick ups: Taj Gibson
Fantasy Spin: In Charlotte, Thomas will bring his upside (and inconsistency) to the Bobcats and will likely be just as hard to peg as he has been throughout his NBA career. His solid defensive ability will buy him big minutes under Larry Brown, though, and perhaps the change of scenery could finally allow him to fourish. His presence will likely put an end to any chance Boris Diaw had of a resurgence in the second half, however. Diaw, who already was dealing with the addition of Stephen Jackson alongside Gerald Wallace, will now have Thomas to contend with for minutes as well. In Chicago, the departure of Thomas opens up a significant role for rookie Taj Gibson, who has shown this year dating back to the summer league and preseason that he can contribute when getting big minutes. Case and point: He had 14 points and 16 rebounds in 30 minutes against the Knicks in his last game. Granted, some of that also had to do with the absence of Joakim Noah, but Gibson is a huge second-half sleeper with this trade.

Bulls get: Hakim Warrick, Joe Alexander
Bucks get: John Salmons
Fantasy Boost: John Salmons
Fantasy Hit: Carlos Delfino, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute
Waiver Wire Pick ups: Taj Gibson
Fantasy Spin: There is a real sleeper here for biggest winner of the day. Salmons will get a chance at more touches and could get close to the numbers he had in his breakout year last season. He averaged 18 points, four boards and around three assists per game last year while getting around 38 minutes and 14 shots per game. He could get close to that again in Milwaukee, cutting into the shot attempts of players like Carlos Delfino.

Trade: Knicks-Rockets-Kings, three-team, nine-player deal (Feb. 18)
Knicks Get: Tracy McGrady, Sergio Rodriguez
Rockets Get: Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries, Hilton Armstrong
Kings Get: Carl Landry, Larry Hughes, Joey Doresey
Fantasy Boost: Tracy McGrady, Donte Greene, Francisco Garcia, Beno Udrih, Sergio Rodriguez
Fantasy Hit: Kevin Martin, Aaron Brooks, Trevor Ariza
Waiver Wire Pick ups: Donte Greene, Francisco Garcia, Beno Udrih, Sergio Rodriguez
Fantasy Spin: T-Mac automatically becomes one of the biggest winners of the trade deadline as he goes from not playing at all to likely playing a significant role for a high-powered Knicks offense. He could easily average 15-4-4 out of the gate and will be a quality option in Fantasy as he plays for a contract. Kevin Martin is going from a Kings team where he could chuck up 20 shots per game without any issues to a more balanced Rockets roster. If his shot attempts dip to even 15 per game, his offensive numbers could dip. We still think he'll be a solid No. 2 guard, but beware a drop in touches. Carl Landry will go from a situation where he emerged as a breakout  this year in Houston to an unknown situation in Sacramento. That's scary for his Fantasy owners. The Kings aren't stacked by any means in the front court and he could still play around 25-30 minutes per game which would allow him a chance to retain his Fantasy value. Sergio Rodriguez is an interesting sleeper as a player who has turned in solid stat lines when given a chance to play, but he's never really gotten a chance for consistent playing time. He may get that in New York and if he can beat out Chris Duhon. In Sacramento, expect Martin's departure to open things up for players like Donte Greene, Francisco Garcia and Beno Udrih.

Trade: Cavaliers-Wizards-Clippers, three-team, five-player deal (Feb. 17)
Cavaliers Get: Antawn Jamison, Sebastian Telfair
Wizards Get: Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Al Thornton, Emir Preldzic
Clippers Get: Drew Gooden
Fantasy Boost: Andray Blatche, JaVale McGee, Al Thornton
Fantasy Hit: Drew Gooden, J.J. Hickson, Anderson Varejao, Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Waiver Wire Pick ups: Andray Blatche, JaVale McGee, Al Thornton
Fantasy Spin: Coach Mike Brown said in Thursday's press conference that he was not sure whether or not he would start Jamison over J.J. Hickson. Much like Caron Butler, Jamison heads from a situation where he was being leaned on heavily in Washington to a situation where he won't be leaned on quite as heavily in Cleveland -- though he'll still get more than his fair share of run as a player we expect to be the second go-to option after LeBron James. So, much like Butler, we don't think Jamison will be a dud by any means, but there is a real possibility that his overall numbers could take a slight decline. In Washington, Jamison's absence as well as the departure of Brendan Haywood in the Butler deal will open things up for Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee in the low post. They'll get significant playing time and Blatche is already capitalizing on it with a career high 33 points with 13 boards Wednesday against Minnesota. With Drew Gooden never playing a game in Washington, it will be all Blatche and McGee going forward. Make the most of it, Fantasy owners. Gooden will be bought out and may be trying to go back to Dallas, which would mean a 30-day waiting period before he can play. With the Wizards strapped for options, Al Thornton could be in for some more looks in Washington as well.

Trade: Clippers-Trail Blazers, four-player deal (Feb. 16)
Clippers Get: Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw, Ricky Davis
Trail Blazers Get: Marcus Camby
Fantasy Boost: Andre Miller, Craig Smith, DeAndre Jordan
Fantasy Hit: Steve Blake, Juwan Howard
Waiver Wire Pick ups: Craig Smith, DeAndre Jordan, Jerryd Bayless
Fantasy Spin: The Trail Blazers got the big man they desperately needed and that means Camby will be leaned on to play significant minutes. I don't see his value changing much. He'll still be a heavy rebounder and a shot blocking presence and because he isn't much of an offensive player to begin with, not much will change there. That also means he won't be taking a big bite out of LaMarcus Aldridge's offensive numbers, though there could be a slight hit in rebounds. Juwan Howard's extremely limited Fantasy appeal goes completely away, but that is no big deal. Andre Miller is finally rid of pesky Steve Blake and will get a chance to return to being the type of guard who can be a low-end No. 1 guard or solid No. 2 even when Brandon Roy is back and healthy. He's averaging 15-8-5 over his last five and should be along those lines the rest of the way. Craig Smith and DeAndre Jordan will get a chance to fill the Camby void in L.A. Jordan is starting center and they are both getting around 25 minutes per game. Despite coming off the bench, Smith is a better offensive player and will make more of the minutes than Jordan. His center eligibility makes him valuable off the wire.

Trade: Wizards-Mavericks, seven-player deal (Feb. 13)
Wizards get: Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, James Singleton, Quinton Ross
Mavericks get: Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood, DeShawn Stevenson
Fantasy Boost: Josh Howard, Mike Miller
Fantasy Hit : Caron Butler, Shawn Marion, Brendan Haywood
Waiver Wire Pick ups: Mike Miller
Fantasy Spin: This trade was the first big move in the Wizards' roster shake up and it sent their do-it-all swingman, Butler away to Dallas in exchange for a similar type of player in Howard. Howard went from a stacked Dallas team to a Washington team that will eventually be leaning on him a lot more than the Mavs would have this year. Butler will take a a hit, in my opinion, even if its not a big one. He'll have a tad fewer touches and his numbers could suffer as a result. Case and point: In Butler's last two games in Washington he played 43 and 47 minutes, attempted 22 and 23 shots and scored 31 and 23 points. In his first to games with Dallas, he played 31 and 39 minutes, attempted 16 shots in both games and scored 13 and 15 points. He's not going to be a dud by any means and will still have big games, but the pickings are going to be slimmer for him in Dallas. Mike Miller will likely take on a lot of Butler's role along with Howard and the later trade that brought in Al Thornton will also give the Wizards an option to fill the Butler void.
